Alexis Sanghera

Alexis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist. She received her Masters degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2007. Alexis has worked with a wide range of individuals and families in a variety of settings. She is passionate about child and perinatal mental health. Her approach is grounded in attachment and she aims to create a warm, accepting, and playful environment where her clients can gain skills to respond compassionately and effectively to emotional and behavioral needs. Her practice areas include child-parent relationship issues, abuse and trauma, grief, school related concerns, anxiety, and depression.

Alexis has served on the board for both the Arkansas Association for Play Therapy and the Arkansas chapter of Postpartum Support International. She has extensive training in child-centered play therapy, filial therapy, and sandtray therapy. Alexis has also completed Level 1 Theraplay training, TF-CBT certification, and has attended certification courses for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

In her free time, Alexis thrives on adventures with her husband and two children, local theatre, and crafting.
