JENNIFER SMITHA

Licensed Professional Counselor

Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with distinction granted by Henderson State University as well as a Master of Science degree in Community Counseling from the University of Central Arkansas. She is well qualified to help, with over 20 years of experience in mental health and 13 years counseling professionally.


Jennifer is highly passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals looking for support and acceptance, relational issues, and family issues with particular focus on validation parenting. She also works well with anxiety, mood disorders, anger management, grief, low self-esteem, OCD, and BPD. Jennifer has experience working with clients of all ages (children through geriatric). She enjoys helping children and teens with problems related to school, peers, divorce, blended families, suicidal thoughts and self-harm. Jennifer has presented groups/workshops for adolescents and adults that span character education, life skills, stress management, relaxation techniques, relationships and sexuality, as well as parenting.


In her spare time, Jennifer loves spending time with her family and relaxing whenever possible.
