Licensed Professional Counselor

Casey is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arkansas with Telehealth certification. She attended
Arkansas Tech University and attained her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology in 1986. She worked for
24 years for the Department of Human Services in the Child Welfare System as a Child Care
Licensing Specialist and a Family Service Worker then changed courses and entered graduate school
and earned her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family

Therapy from John Brown University of Little Rock in 2016.

Casey’s history of working with people in crisis has become her life’s work and passion. She works
with all ages and wants people to fulfill their need for feeling “whole, centered and happy.” Life has
many transitions, and they can happen at any time and that can include grief and loss, trauma,
anxiety, depression, stress, and many other changes that can cause one to need help. People struggle
and may need someone to help them through these times. Having a therapist there to walk with you
on this journey is an important step to take in your healing and your health. Mental health is
something we as humans tend to overlook in our life’s journey but when we attend to our mental

health, all other issues seem to fall into place.

Casey’s approach to therapy is a unique blend of theories that include trauma and strengths based and
are tailored to each client’s individual needs. Some of the theories she uses are Mindfulness,
Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy,

Humanistic Therapy, Attachment Theory and others.

To Casey, each person is an individual with individual needs in therapy. She will meet with the
Client and will set goals for therapy that are appropriate and attainable and will give the Client the

role of the “star of the journey” in attaining those goals.

In her free time, Casey enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, her rescue dogs
and working with a paranormal group that she is a part of. She also enjoys theater (acting, directing
and going to shows). She has recently started writing a book which is a goal she set many years ago

for herself.
